Bread Machine Pizza Dough Recipe

I have used this bread machine pizza dough recipe for many years. When I bought my first bread machine I was given a recipe for pizza dough and I have kept using it because it is so easy and it tastes so good.

I always add the ingredients in the order listed so don't know what would happen if I changed it. I am too scared to try mucking around with the order.

I have sometimes used all-purpose (plain) flour and haven't noticed a difference in taste or texture.

1 ¼ cups warm water
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
3 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
1 (¼ ounce) sachet active dry yeast

Put all the ingredients into the bread machine in the order listed.

Set the bread machine to the "dough" setting.

After dough cycle is complete, remove dough from the bread machine and place it on a lightly floured surface and knead until it forms a round ball.

Cover with a piece of plastic wrap that has been sprayed with cooking spray and allow dough to rise for 30 minutes.

Punch down dough and roll to fit baking sheets, pizza pans, or pizza stone.

Top with your favorite sauce, cheese and toppings.

Bake at 425 degrees in the oven for approximately 20-25 minutes.
