So the big news for Dominoes Pizza (okay, Domino's pizza), is what the company calls a new and improved pizza recipe.

According to Domino's website, customers demanded a change, so they did it. They developed a whole new recipe to make their pizza taste better.

But is it better?

Domino's website says that the new pizza recipe features "new sauce, cheese and garlic-seasoned crust". I've tried it and have to say, it wasn't bad. In some ways, I enjoyed the old crust better, but this one does have a yummy garlic flavor to it. Definitely more seasoning and more flavor.

Domino's Pizza History

Since 1960, Dominoes Pizza (or the correct spelling, Domino's) has been pleasing pizza lovers and giving Pizza Hut a run for its money. Like most pizza chains, Domino's started with one store in some little weird-named town in Michigan by Tom Monaghan and his brother James.

Today, Domino's operates over 8000 restaurants, with 5000 in the U.S. alone.

How you get to be the #2 pizza chain (#1 for pizza delivery) with a bad pizza recipe? They've obviously done fine over the years, but apparently many people didn't like the taste of Domino's. They built their reputation on good service and delivery - not good pizza.

That's what they are aggressively trying to change. Kudos to them for making that bold move. We hope it works for them.
