Thermomix Pizza Dough

I finally bought my thermomix last year and now use it for all my bread and pizza doughs. It is fantastic.

It is so quick and I can decide to have pizza for dinner and have it ready in no time. I have altered the original recipe I got and find that heating the water etc at the start makes the dough ready for use immediately. This really is ready to roll and cover with sauce and toppings within 5 minutes.

So here is my Thermomix pizza dough recipe.

9-1/2fl oz (280g) water
2 teaspoosn yeast
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
8oz (500g) flour

Directions:

Place the water, yeast, oil, salt and oregano into the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 60 seconds on speed 1/temperature 1.

Add the flour and knead for 2 minutes.

Turn onto a lightly floured surface and leave to rest for a few minutes.

For a thin pizza base each quantity of dough can be made into three pizzas and two pizzas for a thicker crust.

Hi Maree

Thanks so much for sending in your Thermomix Pizza Dough recipe.

I have heard these machines are fantastic but didn't realise a pizza dough could be made that fast - at only five minutes my family would be eating pizzas several times a week. What a quick way to make a base.

Thanks again for sharing.
