Cauliflower Pizza Crust
A Low Carb Pizza "Dough"

A cauliflower pizza crust is definitely a different approach to low carb pizza crust. As far as low carb goes, this is definitely the best pizza dough recipe.

Not being a big vegetable person myself, I was shocked when I came across this pizza crust recipe.

At first glance, it doesn't sound all that good, but the reality is, it's a great tasting alternative to flour-based pizza dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked, riced cauliflower (can use frozen)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2tsp fennel
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • Your favorite pizza sauce recipe or white pizza sauce (can also use prepared sauce from a jar)
  • Your favorite toppings
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray.

Cook riced cauliflower according to package directions. Let cool enough to handle.

Using a cheese grater shred the cooked cauliflower.

In a medium bowl, combine shredded cauliflower, egg and mozzarella. Press mixture evenly onto the baking sheet, shaping it into a circle or square. Sprinkle evenly with fennel, oregano and parsley.

Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Remove from the oven. Add sauce, toppings and shredded cheese.

Place under a broiler just until cheese is melted.
