White Pizza Recipe
Easy Stuffed Crust Pizza

A Pizza Does Not Always Need Tomatoes

Here is a very simple white pizza recipe I made. It involves a basic pizza white sauce that anyone can make, and an easy pizza dough from a kit (you can use a pre-made crust if you prefer).

Oh, did I mention I made this a stuffed crust pizza? Yummy!

There are many ways to make a white sauce. The one I made was very simple and easy to make.

All you need is a jar of pre-made white Alfredo sauce, and a bunch of spices. You can add whatever spices you would like but here are the ones I added.

Seasoning for White Sauce Recipe

  • Italian Seasoning
  • Mrs. Dash's Garlic Herb Seasoning (or any other garlic seasoning you have)
  • Oregano Flakes
  • and about 1/2 of the pkg. of spices that came from the pizza kit

I didn't measure them. I just put enough in until I thought it was enough. Probably about a teaspoon of each in about 1/2 cup of Alfredo sauce I mixed them together and then set it aside.

Easy Pizza Dough Recipe

Because my time is limited I used a Kraft Pizza Kit. It's very easy to make and tastes great. You can always use a Boboli pizza crust but I wanted to try making a stuffed crust pizza.

I mixed the dough as the box indicated and let it rise for about 10 minutes.

Once it was ready I spread the dough to the edge of a well greased pizza pan.

Next, I lightly greased the top of the crust with melted butter to give it a little more flavor.

Making The Stuffed Crust Pizza

I cut up some pizza cheese about 1/2 inch thick and laid them along the edge of the pizza, about an inch from the edge of the crust.

I then folded over the edge of the crust to cover the cheese and pressed the dough together.

I found out afterwards that I didn't add enough cheese in the crust, so you might have to experiment with the amount of cheese you add.

A White-Based Pizza Sauce

Then I spread the sauce mix over the crust. I wouldn't go overboard with the sauce but I put enough on so that I couldn't see the crust underneath.

I add some cheese on top of the sauce before I added my toppings. I added pizza cheese to cover the sauce and then sprinkled on some Parmesan cheese over that. I used the Parmesan cheese from the kit. About 1/3 of the pkg.

We prefer just to add mushrooms to our pizza but you can add whatever toppings you choose. I then added more pizza cheese and the remaining Parmesan cheese from the pkg.

I followed the instructions from the pizza kit and baked the pizza for about 10 minutes at 425 degrees.

This was the best white pizza I have ever tasted!

Next time I make a white pizza I am going to add cheese to the sauce to make a white cheese sauce. I can't wait to try that.
