Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Tip: Try out different seasonings in your bread machine including garlic powder and cheese.

This will make 4 Medium Pizzas


  • 1 2/3 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast (like Red Star)


Place all of the ingredients in your bread machine in the order listed above. Turn machine to the dough cycle (be sure and read your bread machine's instructions). The dough should be ready in approximately an hour.

Take the dough out of the machine and place it on a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough into four sections (refrigerate any unused dough). Take the dough and work it into a thick, flat circle (like a disk). Let the dough rest about 20-30 minutes.

Shape into crusts or press into a pizza pan.

Add your favorite pizza sauce and toppings and place on a pizza stone or pizza pan and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes. (You might need a pizza peel if removing the pizza from a stone).
