Orange Pizza

Pizza With Moro Orange

Ingredients

  • 1 8-inch prepared pizza crust
  • 2 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz. diced & seeded Roma tomatoes
  • 6 slices grilled chicken
  • 8 segments Sunkist® Moro orange, peeled, seeded
  • 1 oz. Goat cheese, crumbled
  • ½ tsp. tarragon, dry
  • 1 tsp. fresh cilantro, chopped


Directions

Spread mozzarella cheese over the prepared crust and top with diced tomatoes.

Alternate 6 pieces of chicken and 6 Sunkist Moro Orange Segments around the edge of the pizza.

Place the two remaining segments in the center of the pizza and sprinkle the goat cheese over the whole pizza.

Dust the top of the pizza with the tarragon.

Place in a pre-heated 425º oven and cook for 10-12 minutes until done.

Remove and sprinkle with cilantro. Serve while hot.

Orange Marmalade-Chorizo Pizza

This recipe is a fun twist on orange pizza, combining the sweetness of orange with savory seasoned pork.

Ingredients

  • 15 slices (12 oz) of uncooked bacon, cut in half
  • 12 oz uncooked chorizo sausage links (remove the casings)
  • 1 can (13.8 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated classic pizza crust
  • 1/4 cup sweet orange marmalade
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup dates, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 largo poblano chili, seeded and chopped (2/3 cup)

Directions

Heat oven to 425°F. Spray a 12-inch pizza pan with no-stick cooking spray.

In a nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat 10 to 12 minutes, until bacon is crisp. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels. Drain bacon drippings from skillet.

In same skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally and breaking up sausage with spoon, until no longer pink.

Remove sausage with slotted spoon; drain well on paper towels.

Unroll pizza crust dough on pan; press dough to edge of pan. In small bowl, mix marmalade, oil and parsley; spread over dough. Bake 8 to 9 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

Sprinkle partially baked crust with sausage, bacon and dates. Sprinkle with cheese. Sprinkle chile over cheese; press gently into cheese.

Bake 7 to 12 minutes longer or until crust is deep golden brown.
