Pizza burgers have a few different meanings in the recipe world. This recipe is using the hamburger patty as a low carb pizza crust.
This hamburger pizza can be a burger with the flavor of pizza mixed into the meat, or a pizza with the foundation of a burger.

If you want a burger with the flavor of a pizza, then try a pizza hamburger recipe (this is not the low carb pizza we're talking about here, though).
On this page, we're referring to the "burger" as the base or "foundation" of our pizza.
It's basically our crust...but a low carb version.
This version of a low carb pizza may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it can be quite delicious if you enjoy the taste of hamburger.
Experiment with this one as everyone likes their burgers cooked to
different degrees (medium, medium-well, etc). This recipe calls for
broiling the burger, but
you can also grill it or fry it in a pan. Again, lots of possible variations to this recipe.
*Measurements not included as you'll want to eyeball your sauce and toppings based on the size of your burger. Remember not to load too much sauce on though or you may have a mess!
Broil hamburger patty for roughly 5 minutes, or until brown.
Flip burger - once this side starts to brown, pull out and place sauce, cheese and toppings on top of hamburger patty.
Place back in broiler for a couple minutes until cheese is melted.
