The specialty here is pizza topped with homegrown produce. Specialty pizzas include their Pesto Pizza, a Louisana Andouille Pizza, a Garlic Pizza with fontina cheese an Italian combo and a Veggie combo. Vegan pizzas also available with 24 hour notice. You can also find eccentric toppings on the menu, like artichoke hearts, muffaletta and French goat cheese.

Gialina (gialina.com)
This San Francisco pizza place serves up in thin crust Neapolitan-style pizza. Their specialty pizzas include a Margherita pizza, Four cheese, a Atomica (tomato sauce, mushrooms, mozzarella, chilies and red onions) and a Sierra Rose (potatoes, pancetta, red onion, thyme and gorgonzola). Gialina gets ultra eccentric with a asparagus, mozzarella, Meyer lemon, truffled Pecorino and farm egg combo as well. Salad and roasted chicken or pork chop also on the menu.

This cool pizza is tossed by Jeff aka PizzaHacker. He has a mini mobile wood burning pizza oven that he converted to fire his pies nice and hot. You never know where he might appear, but check out the Mission District for a sighting. He’ll also cater your party.

Giovanni’s Pizza at Club Deluxe  (sfclubdeluxe.com)
Club Deluxe is a jazz club, but is a great pizza pie by a man named Giovanni. Giovanni serves up Neapolitan-inspired thin-crust pizza.  Order up a Margherita By Moonlight with classic tomato, Fior di Latte, basil, olive oil, roasted garlic and sea salt (my mouth is watering just typing this). That is just one of many specialty pieson the menu. Pair it with one of Club Deluxe’s specialty cocktails. Be sure and bring cash as they don’t accept credit cards.

Little Star (littlestarpizza.com)
This San Francisco pizza joint offers up deep dish Chicago-style pizza as well as thin crust specialties. Their Little Star pie is packed with spinach blended with ricotta and feta, mushrooms, onions and garlic. Good variety of toppings are available to add as well. Finish the meal off with a slice of homemade cheesecake.

Golden Boy Pizza (goldenboypizza.com)
If you’re looking for a quick and cheap slice of pie, slide on over to Golden Boy for a clam/garlic or pesto/vegetarian combo. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, it’s just good ol’ San Francisco pizza.

Some say this pizza place serves some of the best thin crust pizza in the city. The menu offers a number of interesting combinations like a clam pie with cherrystones, tomato, oregano, pecorino and hot peppers. Or try the prosciutto pie or a classic Margherita pizza. Patxi’s Chicago Pizza (patxispizza.com)
This San Francisco pizza spot offers – you guessed it – deep dish Chicago-style pies. They also offer a thin crust and an extra-thin crust (in case you are looking for low carb pizza). They offer a number of specialty combos like a Greek, Spinach-Pesto, Californian (on whole wheat crust) and even a vegan pizza. The menu also includes lots of pizza toppings and salad options.
