Pineapple Pizza

Pineapple pizza alone may sound a little untraditional, but add a little ham or Canadian bacon and you have yourself the more traditional, and very popular, Hawaiian pizza.

Take away the ham and bacon and you can still create other delicious pizzas with the sweet and refreshing flavor of pineapple.

You can add any toppings you would like.

Try adding different meat toppings and see how it turns out.

And using a pizza stone is a great idea for fabulous pizzas.

For something a little different, try a Deep Dish pizza with just pineapples and mushrooms.

It's awesome!

Or try a grilled pizza crust or a thin crust pizza for an even better taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Dole Sliced Pineapple (we buy it in the can)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano leaves or 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1 (12-inch) prepared pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/3 cup sliced ripe olives

Directions

Place pineapple in colander to drain the juice. Stir in oregano and set aside.

You can sprinkle the pizza crust with mozzarella cheese to give it added flavor.

Spoon the pineapple mixture over the mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with Cheddar, feta and olives over everything.

Bake at 400° F for about 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese melts.

This will make 8 servings.

Enjoy!
