And don’t ask for salad or wings at this San Diego pizza joint. They specialize in only pizza – and a calzone. Visit the “Crew” link on the website…pretty funny.

Basic Urban Kitchen (barbasic.com)
This hip and cool San Diego pizza restaurant offers thin crust pizza from New Haven, Connecticut. They offer up a wide variety of toppings including fun fare like mashed potatoes, fried eggplant and sun-dried tomatoes.

This family-owned pizza joint offers up authentic Chicago-style pizza. They serve up a thin crust, a deep dish and a stuffed crust pizza. Each pizza is served with a chunky tomato sauce and cheese and your choice of toppings. You can also choose from their specialty pie menu for more variety. Lefty’s also serves burgers, salads, sandwiches and dessert.

Sammy’s offers a nice variety of woodfired pizzas which the option of whole wheat crust, artisan thin crust or gluten-free crust. The menu also has pasta, tapas, sandwiches, tacos, salads and Neapolitan style pizzas and other specialties.
